Job Outline
Security Officers protect the property, assets and customers by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Duties include
This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
• Protect client’s property, assets and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment;
• Observe signs of crime, vandalism and/or disorder and investigate disturbances;
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life and/or property;
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators;
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences;
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents;
• Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeters;
• Control access at buildings and vehicle gates;
• Monitor alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment;
• Carrying out other duties as required.
Requirements
• A good command of English and Maltese;
• Valid Private Guard Licence issued by the Commissioner of Police;
• Clean police conduct;
• Preferably in possession of a valid driving license B.
